Doesn't it really bother you?

When you want to pay a bill over the phone and the person on the other end continuously talks even when you are trying to say something? It does me. Common sense says that when someone is talking, they are not listening. I am really convinced that it takes a *type* of person to be a bill collector. Personally I don't think I have ever met one and I don't think I would like to even casually. I'll bet that most of them are abrasive, pushy and manipulative and just not the kind of person most of us want as friends. Unless of course you are some sort of masochist or a glutton for punishment or just plain stupid.

Having dealt with people for 31 years I tend to get very aggressive with these types and push their buttons (you know, good cop bad cop?) until they come unglued and snap. Then I demand to talk to their supervisor (not before I get the idiots name first, of course) then I lay into the supervisor about how discourteous the person was and nasty they were.

Not surprisingly you get responses like *he/she was only doing his/her job* Yeah right. And I'm the president of the United States. Perhaps we should not do business with people like this and take our business elsewhere. Then when they get laid off they will know. By then it is too late. Serves them right. I say, Hit them where it hurts, in the Pocketbook. Take your business elsewhere. Remember, they NEED US, we DON'T NEED THEM. Maybe just maybe they will get the hint that they should treat their customers better. Some never learn. Those that don't deserve to go out of business. Ain't that the Truth?
